Peaceful Assembly

As reported on the Monitor, Movimiento Marcha Verde (Green March Movement) continues to mobilise in various parts of the country over issues of corruption and disatisfaction with the current government. Since 6th November 2017, numerous protests have taken place under the umbrella of the Movement and in response to impunity and corruption, in particular in regards to the Odebrecht scandal that has rocked the current government over accusations of misconduct and corrupt practices. Most recently on 28th January 2018, the Movement organised a peaceful protest in the vicinity of the Presidential Palace in the capital of Dominican Republic. The Movement continues its fight against corruption through mass mobilisations and marches and is pushing for the impeachment of President Danilo Medina.

También hay mucho arte y creatividad en la lucha por el fin de la impunidad. #MarchaVerde #VamosPalPalacio #YoVoyPalPalacio #TamosEnElPalacio pic.twitter.com/aF5clHxpgG
