Expression

Freedom of expression is enshrined in the Constitution of Grenada and is generally respected in practice. Grenada repealed a section of the Criminal Code in order to decriminalise defamation and libel, however, seditious libel remains a criminal offence. There is no right to information legislation in Grenada. Journalists are sometimes subject to intimidation and harassment. For example, a journalist was fired after publishing a report regarding the selection process of the candidates for Prime Minister.
